Tariku Mekonnen well known by nic name ZETARIAN, is an accomplished Ethiopian filmmaker with a diverse background blending public health and cinema. With a passion for storytelling and cultural exploration, he has built a successful career over the past 16 years, making a significant impact on the Ethiopian film industry.

Tariku holds a Bachelor's degree in Filmmaking, which laid the foundation for his cinematic journey. Despite starting in the field of public health, his love for film led him to transition into the world of filmmaking, where he quickly established himself as a versatile director. Throughout his career, he has directed 12 critically acclaimed Amharic feature films, contributing to the evolution of modern Ethiopian cinema.

In addition to his work in feature films, Tariku is a prolific music video director, having helmed over 230 videos, showcasing his creative vision and ability to engage with a variety of audiences. His keen eye for visual storytelling and his understanding of the cultural nuances of his country have made him a sought-after director for both the film and music industries.
