Ted Failon

Mario Teodoro Failon Etong takes pride in his humble beginnings when he worked at a young age to support his studies. While taking up his college education, he worked as a disc jockey for a small joint in Cubao, Quezon City. He began his career in 1983 as a radio announcer for a local radio station in Leyte. In 1990, he began his career in ABS-CBN as a news reporter and executive producer for television. He anchored some of the top news programs for radio and television. In 2001, Failon won a seat in the House of Representatives, representing the first district of Leyte. He decided to put off his television career to focus on his duties as a public servant for his province. He resumed his broadcasting career in ABS-CBN in 2004 after serving in the 12th Philippine Congress.
