John Piscitello

John Piscitello is an American composer whose scores have been called "sublime" and "exquisite". His acclaimed soundtrack to No Place on Earth was called a "masterpiece" and is available from Varèse Sarabande.

John grew up playing string bass and electric bass in nearly every imaginable genre. In between a Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School, John performed in Boston clubs and as principal bassist for the New England Philharmonic.

Following a career in engineering and product management for MOTU and Google, John studied at San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the European American Musical Alliance in Paris, and the Screen Scoring program at USC Thornton.

John provided a "vividly striking" (Film Music Magazine), "gorgeous" (Film Score Monthly) orchestral score for No Place on Earth, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and won the documentary audience award at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

John works at a recording studio in his home in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife Aliona and their two kids Sacha and Sonya.
