Das Ding (2021)

Das Ding takes the viewer on a poetic and visually striking 12-minute voyage. A stop-motion animated opening brings up philosophical questions regarding the body, like “Why do hollows matter, when hollows aren’t matter?” In the second chapter illustrations eerily morph into live action, building up to a fantastic final chapter where a vulnerable and violent personal story is enacted.
